Counselor in Training (CIT) Program
Let us guide your 6th-8th grader on a journey to develop a comprehensive suite of leadership skills such as personal initiative, responsibility and self-confidence!
Program Overview
We believe leadership skills require a practical setting to truly blossom. Our 6th-8th grade Counselor in Training (CIT) Program trains your young leader to independently problem solve, take initiative, mentor younger children, and enjoy the fruits of supervised responsibility!
We offer 2 CIT positions for each week of camp or each day of our homeschool program. Our young leaders receive daily leadership training from our staff while assisting them in the operations of camp. CIT's walk away from this experience with skills and know-how to be fun and responsible camp counselors that could ultimately lead to a first job with Nature Rangers!
How It Works
Apply to our program and receive comprehensive leadership training and work experience as a CIT! In between our fun and interactive activities, young leaders both assist with, and participate in, group hikes, games, wilderness crafts and free play.
